Formerly known as Elle Cook, the singer and songwriter Elle Monae flourishes within the R&B/soul genre with her alto vocals and flavorful cadences.
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, the Charm City songstress grew up listening to the likes of Billie Holiday, Beyoncé, Amerie, Kelis, and many more.
